First National Bank Selects BBBS as Community Partner for Grand Opening of Bank’s Harrisburg Office

- PITTSBURGH, PA

First National Bank of Pennsylvania, as part of its week-long Grand Opening celebration for the Bank’s new Harrisburg Office, has selected Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region (BBBS) as community partner. This partnership will be showcased at a ribbon cutting ceremony which will include State Treasurer Rob McCord as featured speaker. The ribbon cutting will be held on Monday, October 15, at 11:00 AM at the Bank’s new office, located at 409 North Second Street.

Maddie Young, Executive Director of BBBS will be on hand to share a few words and accept First National Bank’s contribution of $1,500. “This financial support will help the children across Cumberland, Dauphin, Lebanon and Perry Counties achieve success in life,” said Young. “It’s our mission to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.”

To further highlight mentoring opportunities available through Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region, area Bigs and their Littles have been invited to attend a Book Signing with Andy Russell, former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker and two-time Super Bowl Champ. Russell, a seven-time Pro Bowl selection and 10-year Steelers team captain, will autograph copies of his most recent book, Beyond the Goalpost. All proceeds will be donated to charity. The book signing will be held at First National Bank’s 409 North Second Street Office on Tuesday, October 16, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM.

“Big Brothers Big Sisters and Andy Russell make a great match,” said Lloyd Lamm, Regional Banking Executive for First National Bank and Board President of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region. Lamm, who is also a Big Brother, added, “Andy Russell was a consummate professional during his playing days, and his character as a man and his commitment to serving others makes him a role model every child can aspire to be.”

The public is invited to participate in Grand Opening activities, including the ribbon cutting and book signing events, as well as view First National Bank’s state-of-the-art facility and learn about FNB’s comprehensive financial products and services.
